Poem #3857
The Clumsy Waltz of Joy
A clumsy foot lands / On a partner's shiny shoe / A gasp, then a laugh / 'My apologies to you!'
A spin goes too wide / Arms flailing like a windmill / The music plays on / Ignoring my lack of skill
A dip goes too deep / Nearly toppling to the floor / Saved by a strong arm / And a giggle, nothing more
We stumble and sway / In a rhythm all our own / The beat may be lost / But our joy is fully grown
So let the world watch / Our hilarious display / Dancing is just fun / In this silly, grand ballet.
Prompt: dancing
